ABOUT Us:

As an international school, FIS achieves the highest level of education for our students. Therefore, we are seeking a USA accredited status from the AdvancED organization http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdvancED .
AdvancED is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits primary and secondary schools throughout the United States and internationally.[1] AdvancED was formed in 2006 by the consolidation of the pre-college divisions of two of the U.S. regional accreditation organizations: the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA CASI), and the Council on Accreditation and School Improvement of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI).[1] In 2012 the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) joined AdvancED.[2]
At the end of the 2010-2011 academic year, AdvancED had served more than 27,000 institutions including 3,000 that were engaged in school improvement but not yet accredited.[3The organization has headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia and Tempe, Arizona.
As FIS prepares for accreditation, we are reviewing all of our curriculum and academic instruction to assure high quality. We have aligned our western curriculum with the USA Common Core standardshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Core_State_Standards_Initiative.
Accreditation will be set us on the right path to work within an internationally practical framework that will guarantee credibility and validity for our students’ educational journey with us.
Child Safety our priority you kid safety.

General Playground Safety Rules
1. Always play safe by being careful and showing courtesy.
2. Never run around or push and pull others while near playground equipment. Keep your hands and feet to yourself. Physical contact and verbal abuse (mean words) are not permitted.
3. Don’t go too close to the front or rear of moving equipment; instead, walk out around it.
4. Wear proper clothing. Make sure your shoes are tied and never wear clothes that have drawstrings. Necklaces, scarves, drawstrings and very loose clothes could get tangled.
5. When you get off equipment make sure there isn’t anyone in the way. If you jump, always bend your knees slightly and land on two feet.
6. Don’t play on equipment that is wet because the surface will be slippery.
7. If you go to the playground in the summertime, make sure the equipment is not too hot.
8. Take turns and get in a line when more than one person wants to use a piece of equipment. By sharing, everyone will get a turn. No holding places or butting in line.
9. Sit properly on equipment and do not overcrowd. If a piece of equipment has a handrail, make sure you hold it at all times.
10. Ask an adult for help if there is a problem or someone is hurt.
11. Never go to a playground by yourself or without letting an adult know. Have an adult go with you when you’re in primary and have a friend go with you when you get older.
I'
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but a majority of students go to school without eating breakfast. At school, a hungry student can lose concentration in class and have no energy for playtime.
A calm and healthy breakfast every day is the best defense against this happening. It also helps children to learn good habits that they can carry through life.
Many of our lessons include the importance of good eating habits.
All students should bring healthy snacks to school such as a healthy sandwich, fruit or vegetable snack and unsweetened juice or milk. Foods such as chips, candy, chocolate spreads and sugared drinks are not acceptable.
We ask all parents to strictly abide by this policy for the well-being and good health of your child.
